Experienced Trial Lawyer
Diane Goldman is an experienced trial attorney, who has presented almost 100 cases at trial before juries in Southern California courts. Most attorneys do not go to trial and even experienced trial attorneys will try only 10 to 20 cases in a career. In addition to her extensive trial experience, she has settled hundreds of cases for her clients, resulting in successful outcomes without the necessity of going to trial.
Diane Goldman specializes in personal injury law (auto accidents, dog bites, false arrest), medical and legal malpractice, premises liability (slip/trip and fall accidents), elder abuse, civil rights (racial/sexual/age discrimination), sexual harassment, business disputes, and criminal defense law.
She recognizes that each case is different and requires a special, individual approach in giving each client the personal attention that will produce the best result under the facts of each case. Clients are never handed off to a nonlawyer or paralegal; Diane Goldman personally handles all stages and aspects of each case for the client.
Background
Diane Goldman began her legal career as a prosecutor with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. She then gained additional trial experience with a number of private law firms in civil law (medical malpractice, premises liability, and insurance defense of auto accident cases).
Diane Goldman has distinguished herself in the legal field as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), which is an honorary society made up only of attorneys (nationally), who have extensive trial experience and are nominated for membership by attorneys with similar trial experience. She has taught other attorneys trial procedures and techniques at the Los Angeles ABOTA trial school.
Diane Goldman previously served as a commissioner on the State Bar Judicial Nominees Evaluation Commission. This is the state agency that evaluates and investigates candidates for trial and appellate court positions (judges) in California.
For many years she served as an arbitrator and mediator for the Los Angeles courts. She currently serves as a temporary judge in the Los Angeles Superior Court. Diane Goldman previously taught the law of Evidence at California College of Law, and she served as a judge in appellate advocacy (moot court) at Pepperdine University Law School.
